This has got to be one of my favourite fashion discoveries this year; the V by Very AW16 Collection.
Normally when I shop on very.co.uk, I buy homeware delights and never really considered it as a strong contender to fill my seasonal wardrobe… that was until I clapped eyes on their latest range (and lust-after fashionista and Strictly star, Daisy Lowe, is also the face of the campaign) .
There are so many beautiful pieces – and it’s not just me who’s loving it, British Vogue has also picked up on this absolute gem of a collection. See the feature in their supplement with this month’s (November 2016) issue – but if you can’t get to the shops quick enough, it’s OK, you can see their recommendations in fully glory here.
So, I packed a suitcase and did what I love to do best; a good ole little photoshoot. We had so much fun…
The location: a creative workspace with a touch of magic. We headed to the incredible WeWork in Paddington, London (WeWork have offices all over the world – check it out, they’re awesome). Their offices are themed ever so differently, with the aim to inspire. Imagine having ‘swings’ in a meeting room? Yeah that happened… and one of my happiest places was the toilet, as the walls were covered with flamingoes (I’m sure many of you will agree with me).
I’ve also got a little surprise in-store for you…
I’m taking my blog to the next level – I’ve finally done it – I’ve launched a YouTube channel.
Here’s a sneak peek at my top picks from the V by Very collection plus an introduction to this blog.
I really enjoyed making this little video and I’d love to know what you think (go easy, it’s my first one!) and if you’ve got any tips/recommendations or vloggers that inspire you, I very much welcome your feedback… (thank you!)
Here we go – here’s how I styled my top picks and created six different looks.
Look 1: Floral magic
YES YOU CAN. Always.
// V by Very Printed Ruffle Long Sleeve Printed Blouse // V by Very High Waisted Mom Jean – Mid Blue // V by Very Chain Strap Duffle Bag //
Look 2. Metallics and flamingoes (aka my happy place)
One of my favourite outfits. This metallic skirt will be my go-to this season, and this oversized grey jumper is just divine.
// V by Very High Neck Jumper // V by Very Metallic Pleated Skirt (also love it in black too) // adidas Originals Superstar white trainers (these are pretty cool with the silver glossy toe) //
Look 3. Heading to the office, military style
If you like to power-dress, I guarantee you will feel a million dollars in this outfit (I did!)
// V by Very Long Military Coat (love this red coat as well) // V by Very Pleated Bib Front Blouse // V by Very High Waisted Pencil Skirt (and it’s reduced to £15 too) // V by Very Hanson Imi Suede Point Court (also love these, and these, and these pointed studded flats too) //
Look 4: First things first…
I admit to being completely in love with this mesh bomber jacket.
// V by Very Textured Mesh Bomber Jacket // V by Very High Waisted Mom Jean – Mid Blue (as before) // Nike Roshe One trainers (and these are awesome too) //
Look 5. Check mate
Feeling playful, especially on the swing (in a meeting room; dreams really do happen) below…
// V by Very Ruffle Check Blouse // V by Very Ella Tall Mid Rise Unpicked Hem Skinny Jean // V by Very Olivia Patent Chelsea Ankle Boots (love these multi-strap boots too //
Look 6: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…
Is exactly how I feel in this dress. The LBD has just had a serious update, and this clutch bag is so much fun too.
// V by Very Geo Lace Midi Prom Dress // V by Very Patchwork Metallic Clutch (this 3D embellished clutch is also beautiful) // V by Very Charlotte Strappy Block Heel Sandals in Burgundy (you can also get them in black here) //
Which is your favourite look? If you have any questions, or would like some more info on any of the pieces I’ve featured – just drop me a little message in the comments below…
Thank you to Very for partnering on this post – and introducing me to your amazing V by Very collection.
Love,
PS: Big shout out to my lovely friend, Samantha (aka my dedicated photographer) for sharing the joy, and taking these wonderful pictures for me.
