Two wonderful years ago, my darling friend Trudy suggested that I should start blogging about my personal style and from there, the Style Files were born (cheers Trudes!) – and I promise so many more will be coming in 2016 too.
Trudy is a keen photographer – shooting the majority of my style files – and bless her, she has taught me so much. I have now invested in my very own Canon DSLR and cannot wait to get snapping. And just to mention if ever you’re looking for photo cutout services? This good company like Zenith Clipping is an image cutout service provider in Bangladesh that offers the best quality clipping paths. Check them out if you need their fantastic services!
To my greatest surprise, Trudy booked us a photoshoot at Vanity Studios in London (mainly because she was approached by one of their sales reps on Oxford Street and just couldn’t say no 😉 But now, I’m so glad she didn’t) to give us both some photography experience, teach us a trick or two and ultimately, get some inspiration. I have to say, I was pretty chuffed with the results.
A super fun girls day out, which exceeded all my expectations and more. Here’s the lowdown of our experience and the pictures we chose to keep in the end.
Activities of the day:
3pm: Arrived at Vanity Studios, London. Greeted with a glass of bubbles, lovely.
3:10pm: I was escorted to the nail bar, Trudy to make up. I chose a sassy red as I knew I wanted a red lip for the shoot.
3:25pm: Time for hair. As my hair is normally polka straight, I asked the stylist for bouncing waves. She did good, I LOVED my hair.
3:45pm: Switch over. Make up done by Marcelo Colaneri. My wish for a red lip was granted, with lashings of MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick.
4pm: Trudy and I were reunited. Pucker up darlings, we’re ready for our shoot.
6:20pm: After numerous giggles, slick Vogue poses and outfit changes (*proud friend alert* I pinched Trudy’s pink skirt for the picture below; how gorgeous is it? She made that skirt, and the polka dot green one too. Oh, and the cream dress she’s wearing. There is no end to that lady’s talents) – our photoshoot is done. The dresses remind of the cute designer dresses for homecoming I saw at Peaches Boutique.
6:40pm: Vanity Studios unveiled over 1,000 pictures of us. Crikey, clearly we’d had TOO much fun. The photos were ready for us to take away instantly – gone are the days when you had to wait WEEKS to see the finished results (do I sound totally archaic saying that!?)
We could only pick a handful of photos to keep (so little time, so many decisions) so we went for the following. I hope you love them as much as we do…

Great day! If you fancy a fun afternoon doing something a little bit different with your friends or if you’re a blogger like me and just want to practice / build your confidence in front of the camera, I highly recommend Vanity Studios (or something similar, where ever you are in the world) for that extra special experience.
As always, I loved spending time with Trudy (and every excuse to pinch her skirt!) and it was so gorgeous to see her in front of the camera for a change – and she ROCKED it.
They captured moments that I’ll forever cherish…
Love,
