I have a special lady in my Woo Hot Seat today, that is the glorious jewellery-maven, Izzy Fellowes of Aluna Mae.
Best known for being one of the most lust-after jewellery brands on ASOS marketplace, her purely magical Instagram feed, and my Coachella blog; when I met ‘STEVIE’ (my black suede bolo wrap necklace).
Fast becoming the love of my (jewellery) life, STEVIE has accompanied me on many outfits (and I’ve received all the compliments, lucky woo) and I will continue to rock it out this season. Chokers are here to stay for a good while yet.
On that magical note, I wanted to know more about the dazzling beauty behind the brand… Who is Izzy Fellowes? Here, she shares with me her top styling tips, the latest jewellery trends and her outstanding collection.
PLUS to celebrate all things Aluna Mae, she is offering 20% discount for all Sarah Woo readers! *Live the dream* – continue reading to discover more, feel inspired and update your jewellery box pronto 🙂
Well, I haven’t done a Woo Hot Seat in a while (showcasing my insanely talented and creative friends) but it’s been worth the wait; have I got a treat for you.
I’m absolutely honoured and delighted to introduce you to Julia Hardy, the creative genius behind CrownJules. If you’re heading to the races, a wedding or a special event this year; then you definitely need to know about Julia.
She is your one-stop destination for gorgeous accessories. On hand to make you the most beautiful bespoke hats and fascinators (ruling out the fear that someone else might wear the same one as you) and a passionate Stella & Dot Stylist; she offers her wisdom on all the latest jewellery trends, and how to put the final touches to your outfit.
Find out more about this amazing woman and how to get your very own CrownJules head-(master)piece 🙂
In the Woo Hot Seat this week, we have fashion designer Robyn Heald.
I remember the butterflies I got when I first saw Robyn’s creations at Graduate Fashion Week. I knew from that moment, she would go on to do amazing things.
There, she was spotted by talent scouts from Abercrombie & Fitch, who jetted her off to work in their headquarters in Ohio, USA. Then, she was head-hunted by our British equivalent, Jack Wills, designing everything from jumpers to underpants (we can only imagine the fit model sessions) and has recently embarked on her next exciting venture.
Now embracing the best of both worlds – life in the city and the beach – Robyn lives in the bustling and super-trendy delights of East London, and commutes to the idyllic shores of Salcombe in Devon, to design the womenswear offering for nautical-inspired leisurewear company Quba & Co.
Read all about Robyn’s journey as a fashion designer, what inspires her and being on location at Quba & Co’s AW14 photoshoot (and meet Wilbur the whale too!) Ahoy, sailor.
In the Woo Hot Seat, we have fashion buyer, Jemma Garner.
Can you imagine shopping FOR A LIVING? Jemma Garner is a fashion buyer for womenswear brand, Therapy at House of Fraser. She shares the perks of her job, top style tips, which collections she’s loving right now and key staples for SS14. Roll on summer.
In the Woo Hot Seat, we have Sarah Woo’s fashion photographer, Trudy Baker.
Trudy is a dynamic, fun-loving Australian, with a big love for street style and has been making clothes ever since she can remember. Trudy grew up on a farm in the outback, in a small town called Moonie in Queensland. After finishing up at Brisbane University, Trudy swapped wellies for Jimmy Choo’s and headed to London. She met her English prince – who she is set to marry this year – and now plans to make her own wedding dress. Way’da’go Trudes! Her creativity, passion and amazing fashion photography inspired me so much, she is now Sarah Woo’s official photographer.
