A New Love: Chantelle Lingerie

Chantelle Paris

When I hit my teens (along with many girls’ dreams) I couldn’t wait to gain my curves. The ‘girls’ (boobs), the hips, the bum – all the things that make you feel womanly, sexy and exuberant. Amazingly (and I’m sure many women will agree with this too), you sometimes get a little bit less, or a little bit more, than you bargained for. And for me, it’s the latter.

Ever since my early 20’s, I’ve been a plus size bra. I’m not complaining at all – I’m happy, proud and content with the goods that god blessed me with – but I’ve always found it a real struggle to find lingerie I truly love. If anything, I’ve found anything over a DD+ to feel and look somewhat ‘industrial’ and not as alluring compared to smaller cup sizes. I guess you can’t have it all…

Then I discovered Chantelle. A brand with the most beautiful lingerie and a lovely story – dating back to 1876 and still being run by the same family (five generations later) today.

Their heritage, commitment and craftsmanship dedicated purely to the woman’s body is incredible; bursting us out of corsets and creating the first ever girdle in the 1940s, and unveiling their first bra in the 1960s – all hand sewn for our love and pleasure. AND, it looks and feels AMAZING on. I can’t wait to share all with you…

Exhibition: Louis Vuitton Series 3

Louis Vuitton Series 3

Today, I’ve enjoyed a very cultural, and very lovely, sunshiny Sunday. I caught up with friends and we headed to the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition on The Strand in London.

The exhibition offered up a modern and electric twist on the Louis Vuitton (LV) AW15 runway show, created and influenced by LV’s Women’s Artistic Director, Nicolas Ghesquière.

We saw the ‘magic trunk’, stood (and slightly strutted) on the catwalk which has been especially transported over from Paris for the exhibition. Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage on how a LV clutch bag is made and to our complete surprise, we stumbled upon a LV “artiste” constructing a clutch bag for us all to watch – amazing. I could have watched her all day… And if that’s not enough, how does a walk-in wardrobe sound? We. Were. Spoilt.

If you can get to this exhibition, GO. I definitely recommend it – and it’s free! (I know, how exciting) and it’s running until the 18th October. Book online here to secure your slot.

For those that can’t make it… I’ve got it covered. Unlike many exhibitions, this one was camera-friendly, so I took as many pictures as I possibly could to share with you! Check them out here.

Wishlist: MONNIER Frères AW15

MONNIER Frères Wishlist

I love discovering new brands, and this week I’ve found a little gem – je’taime MONNIER Frères – an online destination for all your high-end accessory lust-haves.

This brand also represents a lovely little story. Two brothers, Jean and Guillaume Monnier (Frères means ‘brothers’ in English – how gorgeous) set up the French label back in 2010, after taking notes from their ‘lavish experiences spent in luxury maisons’. They had the desire to become the go-to accessory e-tailer, and provide the most exclusive and sought-after pieces a girl could ever wish for.

Their Paris-based team are completely dedicated to securing the latest trends and capsule collections – straight from the catwalks. Remember the Moschino x Jeremy Scott AW14 runway show? Before you could even say super-size me, the collection was flying out the door, hottest than McDonald’s hamburgers (no gherkins) the very next day. “The most talked-about pieces are often sold out on the day after the show,” Jean Monnier told The Independent.

So to mark Paris Fashion Week (which kicks off tomorrow, 30th September) I thought I would support the French, get all fancy, and create my own ultimate accessory wishlist. But who knows what will be hitting the site straight from the fashion weeks. Moschino Couture SS16 is launching TODAY straight from Milan Fashion Week – I cannot wait. Watch this space…

Wishlist: Warehouse AW15

Warehouse Wishlist AW15

So, as we’ve seen from London Fashion Week SS16, the 70’s trend is well and truly here to stay – if you haven’t done so already, it’s time to invest in those key staples right now. But before we carried away with SS16, it’s time to hang-fire, embrace and fall in love the new season: Hello Autumn.

I do absolutely love, love, love autumn. September is my birthday month (true story) and for all its pretty colours, I always get completely consumed by the beautiful ever-changing leaves in the park, and the fresh, crisp, air – aaah – and what else? An excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe, of course.

Hunting for that said dream autumn wardrobe, I discovered Warehouse’s Fall Collection for AW15. Yes I know, that dress. Here are my top picks from the collection, tips for AW15 trends and I’ve styled up my five favourite outfits too. 8 sleeps till payday…

Super Styling: Hanneli Mustaparta x Deichmann

Deichmann x Sarah Woo

Ever dreamed of designing your own collection of shoes? Yep, yep, so have I. The latest collaboration that I’m getting excited about is Norwegian’s mega-blogger, Hanneli Mustaparta, AW15 capsule shoe collection ‘Edited by Hanneli Mustaparta’ with europe’s biggest shoe retailer, Deichmann.

Featuring 10 different styles, spoiling us with looks from, “casually cool, to sporty and playful, to elegantly feminine,” says the German shoe brand – there’s a little bit of something for everyone. I personally went for the latter, and could not wait to get my mitts on these navy blue ankle boots with the stunning gold zip detail.

The collection only just launched a couple of days ago and these little treasures landed on my desk at 10:16am this morning. I was too excited to – well, to do what us ladies do best – play dress up. And guess what? One lucky blogger can win the opportunity to become Deichmann’s guest blogger and win a prize of £20,000, just by talking about this wonderful collection (and the competition closes at midnight, tonight. Heart officially racing).

Deichmann, you already got me at the mention of shoes… but this has taken me to a whole new crazy level. Therefore for my entry, I’ve super-styled my new fave boots with five different outfits.

Joe Browns blog

*NEW BRAND ALERT* I recently discovered the great delights of Joe Browns when I attended a bloggers event, Bloggers Love, in London.

The super fun Yorkshire (fellow northern loveliness) retailer was there to showcase their product to bloggers, and I must admit, I was completely mesmerised by the gorgeous Fabulous Floral Jacket. I felt like I’d been catapulted into the cherry orchards of Japan, gazing longingly at the beautiful cherry blossom print.

I jumped onto their website to find out more, and to my sheer thrill and excitement, this jacket – along with many other treasures – have just gone on sale today! I feel I must share this love and joy with you ♡

Going seriously floral, here are my seven top picks from the collection… and I hope you enjoy discovering Joe Browns as much as I do, too!

Style File: Denim Daydream

Denim Jumpsuit

Denim daydreams… Playing in one of my favourite places, the rooftops of Balham [London].

Enjoying wearing this jumpsuit by Atterley a little bit too much, my neighbour caught me striking a pose (hence the air kisses photo on the right) – Oh, hi Gerry 🙂 – turns out, I really love this shot! It’s a keeper.

You may remember Atterley from a blog I wrote earlier this year on their inspiring #ARWoman campaign. They’ve just undergone a huge rebrand; removing the road and re-launching solely as Atterley. How exciting, I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!

And of course, not forgetting the gorgeous accessories too. I’m seriously loving these nude suede lace up sandals from Office (and they’re super comfy too!), tassle-tastic bag by H&M and sparkling treasures; jewellery by kate spade new yorkReiss& Other Stories and Stella & Dot.

Braid me happy: Blo Blow Dry Bar London

Blo Blow Dry Bar

Nestled in the cobbled streets, I headed to the beautiful, bustling piazza in Covent Garden, London – for the market place holds a special little gem – the Blo Blow Dry Bar has landed in the UK, and it’s the first one in Europe in fact.

With seven dazzling styles featured on their ‘Blo Hair Menu’ to feast your eyes over and THEN they pulled out the new ‘Braid Menu’ for summer… well, this is the dream.

Treated to a lovely ambience of chatting all things hair, delicious coffee (you know I love my coffee) and my favourite glossy magazines – I was set for the perfect afternoon.

Here’s the Blo-down (hey, like that!?) on the salon’s offerings, what braid I chose and the amazing hair styling products they used to create it – and why I highly recommend you to go!

Beauty brilliance: Conquering the world with Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte TilburyIf you asked me what two essentials I’d need in my make up bag, I would always say lipstick and mascara: keeping those lips luscious and your lashes pumping, they are my get-set for the day.

Recently I discovered the magical wonders of make-up artist and beauty super-hero, Charlotte Tilbury. Delving into her delicious and adventurous K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection – I went for the naughty but very fabulous shade of Bitch Perfect (tee hee) – and her no calories required, Full Fat Lashes 5-Star Mascara in glossy black. I also couldn’t resist this gorgeous and really cute Make-Up Bag in Rose Gold & Night Crimson.

Style File: We Heart Balham

We heart Balham

Balham (in London, UK) is a very special place to me. For it’s the place I first ventured to when I moved to London three years ago (I’ve just celebrated my third anniversary living here, yay!) and I fell in love.

It’s funny, because just the other day someone asked me: “So [out of the whole of London] why did you choose Balham for where to live?” – Good question.

Sporting my new favourite H&M dungarees, I share my playful side (guest-star, ‘Betty the Bicycle’) and my 10 favourite things about Balham…

#ColourMeMarch: Ladies Day Outfit Inspiration

Colour Me March

Spring is near! And race season is fasting approaching us… with Cheltenham Races kicking off in just five days time. I’m also loving their #ColourMeMarch campaign that they’re promoting; encouraging women to share their outfit inspiration for the big event, Ladies Day.

Pearls, diamantés, clashing prints and a super extravagant fascinator? Absolutely. I love to live colourfully and I’m placing my bets on this bright, bold and effortlessly elegant outfit.
